Waiting Lists
All mooring permit applications start with being placed on a wait list. When a spot is available for your vessel you will be contacted and authorized to submit an mooring permit application consistent with your wait list request. The wait list application fee is $15.00 per request with a maximum of two requests per person. For a riparian mooring (mooring off your property) location please contact our office or choose the Riparian wait list option, no fee is required.

To submit a wait list application please choose Boat Mooring Permit Application and select the desired wait list.

Click here to view the wait lists. An application will not appear on the wait list until the fee has been received and the application is approved.

Mooring Permit Renewals
Renewals are due by March 1st. Enter the key code provided by our office via email and you will be directed to your renewal application. Complete online and pay online or send a check. There is no need to send a paper copy of your renewal.

The renewal deadline has been extended till March 31st this year. After this date renewals will be canceled and a waiting list application must be submitted.

Saltwater Fishing Permit

In order to fish recreationally for finfish in Massachusetts marine waters, including up to the first dam in rivers and streams that flow to the ocean you are required to have a saltwater fishing permit.
