Hingham Public Safety Assists in Rescue of Trapped Kayakers

On Labor Day weekend, 4 boaters and a Hull Fire Fighter became trapped and swept into a culvert in a fast moving current, beneath 228 in Hingham.

Off duty Assistant Harbormaster Mark Brennan, seen in the inflatable boat, and Hull Fire Captain Russo, on the ladder, pulled the original kayak victim and Hull Fire Fighter out of the water.

They were assisted by Hull Harbormaster, Hingham Fire Department, Hull Fire Department, Hingham Police, Hull Police, and State Police.
