Summary of Proceedings:
At a duly noticed hearing on November 21, 2016 Judith Sneath, Sarah Corey, Gary Tondorf-Dick and Jennifer Gay Smith were present for the Planning Board. The same panel was present for the subsequent hearings on December 12, 2016, December 19, 2016 and January 23, 2017. Sean McCarthy was not present on November 21, 2016, but was present at all the subsequent hearings presenting the details of the application.

Description of Project:
The application submitted requested approval for Hingham Yoga LLC (Health Club) to occupy 1,800 square feet of space that was formerly used as office space for a Yoga Studio. The Applicant’s original petition requested hours of operation from 6 am-9 pm with varying class size. The Applicant noted that there were 9 parking spaces “allocated” to this office, but that the total parking demand would be greater than that.

The Applicant requested a waiver of Site Plan Review in Association with the Special Permit A3 because there is no physical work being done as part of this project.

Findings and Decision:
After additional discussion, the Board Moved, Seconded and So Voted to WAIVE Site Plan Review in Association with the Special Permit A3 parking determination for Hingham YOGA as proposed to occupy 50 South Street.
