Founded in 1910, Troop 1 is one of the oldest Boy Scout troops in the country, with a proud heritage of youth leadership development. We have our own Scout House within walking distance of Wompatuck State Park that was built using Hingham donations in 1937.
Visit our dynamic Troop at our website! We embrace the Scouting principles to "Create Leaders through Adventure" at our Troop Meetings, Monthly Camp Outs, and Annual High Adventure Trips (Philmont Scout Ranch, Northern Tier, and Florida SeaBase). Cub Scout Pack 27 in Hingham is chartered to Foster Elementary School from the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). Character development should extend into every aspect of a boys life and as such it should also extend into every aspect of Cub Scouting. Character development should also challenge Cub Scouts to experience core values in six general areas: God, world, country, community, family, and self.
