[ARCHIVED] Join us to honor our Brave Servicemen and Women on November 11th, Veterans' Day

Join us to honor our brave servicemen and women. Ceremony begins at 11:00 am at Sanborn Auditorium in Hingham Town Hall along with brief ceremony afterwards at our Veterans' monument.


The Hingham Veterans’ Council is pleased to announce the itinerary for this year’s Annual Veteran’s Day Observance, formerly called Armistice Day.


Veterans’ Day 2017 will begin with the CPL Lawrence St. Laurent Breakfast at the Hingham Town Hall, in the Central Meeting Room (2nd Floor); from 08:30-10:00 a.m. This event is open to ALL Military, Veterans, and their families; sponsored by the Hingham Veterans’ Council, and catered by: Hart Brothers Catering of Rockland, MA.


The main event will be the held in the Sanborn Auditorium at Town Hall, beginning promptly at 11 a.m. There will be reserved seating for ALL Military and Veterans. The event will be moderated by Michael Puzo, with music performed by Hingham High School Band. The principal speaker will be combat veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom, Colonel Arthur Elbthal, U.S. Army.


Following the indoor tribute to our Town’s Veterans there will be a wreath laying ceremony and Pledge of Allegiance at the Veterans Memorial outside Town Hall.
