Who sets up the event?: Users, or the caterer they have hired, are responsible for setting up and returning the space as found. All trash must be removed.

1. Who sets up the event?: Users, or the caterer they have hired, are responsible for setting up and returning the space as found. All trash must be removed.

2. Does the town provide tables and chairs?: Yes, there are 6 8-person round tables and 48 chairs available as well as two 6-foot long banquet tables for use. They are stored in the men’s and women’s bathrooms. Prior to your departure, the tables and chairs must be returned to their storage space. You must provide your own linens.

3. What is the size of the Community Room?: The Community Room measures 27’ 10” x 20’ 5”

4. Can we play music?: Yes, inside only. Feel free to bring your own speaker as we do not provide one.

5. Can we use candles or balloons?: No. Balloons, candles, confetti, rice, rose petals, or similar materials may not be used at the facility. Battery operated candles only.

6. Can we use outdoor heaters on the deck?: Per the Hingham Fire Department, propane heaters of any kind are not allowed at the facility.

7. Can we serve beer and wine?: Yes, you will need to hire a caterer or bartender. Liquor is not allowed unless you employ a caterer with a Massachusetts 12C Caterer’s License. You are not allowed to bring or serve your own beer or wine. Information regarding Special One-Day Liquor Licenses can be found on the Select Board webpage.

8. I’m not using a caterer, can I bring my own food?: Yes, you may bring your own food for your guests. Please let us know if you decide to do this. You are not allowed to bring or serve your own beer or wine.

9. When will I receive my security deposit back?: If the facility is undamaged, and left in the same condition as found, you will receive your security deposit back within thirty (30) days after your event.
