Update 5:25 - Customers have been restored and back to service on Whiting and Main in Hingham Ma, customers in the immediate area may still experience discolored water and loss of pressure in immediate areas. Crews are working to replace the hydrant on Whiting, Hydrant # 46 will be out of service for a few hours.
3:45 PM - There is a water main break of a 12” AC pipe in the area of 6 Whiting St and Main St. in Hingham due to a hydrant that was hit by a vehicle. Crews are responding to the scene to have this section of the road shut down. Customers in the immediate area may experience discolored water and loss of pressure or periodic disruptions in water service between 3:30 pm and 9:30 pm.
