Posted on: April 7, 2022

[ARCHIVED] Wompatuck Rd - Hingham - Water Main Project

On Monday, April 18, 2022, the Weir River Water System (WRWS) will begin the Wompatuck Rd water main replacement project. This project is scheduled to be completed in approximately 14-16 weeks. A new 8" ductile iron water main will be installed on Wompatuck Rd from Planters Field Lane to the end of the street. Residents may see mobilization activities over the next week until the project kicks off.

Contractor: C Naughton Corp, Bridgewater MA – (508) 807-1241

Work Schedule: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, MONDAY - FRIDAY

Crews will also install new fire hydrants and water services from the new main to your property line. All residents should expect periodic interruptions in water service and there is the potential of discolored water throughout the project. Our commitment to system infrastructure improvements will continue over the next several years.

Please check our website @ www.weirriverwater.com for periodic updates regarding scheduled shut downs / service interruptions.

Please check your washer prior to doing laundry as these shut downs may cause discolored water.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact, Russell E. Tierney, Managing Director / Superintendent, 781-804-2304 or tierneyr@hingham-ma.gov.
