Dear Friend of the Hingham 4th of July Parade,
The 4th of July Parade Committee is once again asking for your support for the best and biggest 4th of July Parade on the South Shore. This year we need to raise more than $40,000 to cover the expected costs of the parade, which attracts 25,000 spectators each year. WE NEED YOUR HELP to continue to fund this fine family tradition.
Because the parade receives no funding from the Town, we work hard to both keep costs down and raise the money needed to put on a first class event. Our traditional button sales, and the newer (and highly successful) “50 Flags Campaign,” help defray much of the costs, but we still have to rely on the generosity of friends like you.
Therefore, we invite you to our biggest fundraiser, The Selectmen’s Cup, to be held at South Shore Country Club on Monday, May 15, 2017. You’ll meet many of Hingham’s department leaders and Selectmen in a casual setting, while raising the needed funds for Hingham’s biggest celebration! Jay McGrail, SSCC Director of Operations, always makes sure it’s a great event.
“STAR SPANGLED SALUTE”
We’ll end the day with dinner provided by Rafael’s under the tent at SSCC and a live mini-auction of select items that include a Captained Boat Ride from Freedom Boats, Red Sox Tickets, and Chef Paul Wahlberg Experience in YOUR OWN HOME! If you can’t golf with us that day, join the fun under the tent and bid on these great items!
We’ve also included information about Selectman’s Cup sponsorship opportunities, as well as the traditional Parade sponsorship levels. The names of our corporate sponsors are displayed prominently during the parade, in our social media, the local press and annual Town report.
The Hingham 4th of July Parade continues to be 100% funded through the generosity of local businesses like yours!
