[ARCHIVED] Hingham Partners to Address Hoarding - Upcoming Event

Hingham and Scituate Board of Health have partnered as the South Shore Clutter Reduction Collaborative to address hoarding disorder (HD), associated clutter, and related stigma. In 2018, a two year grant was awarded by CHNA 20 to the Collaborative to launch a multi-faceted project.

Over the course of the next 18 months we will be sharing events, programs and resources available to the CHNA 20 and South Shore community. Please consider signing up for our E-Newsletter to receive information about upcoming events at:

Our first event, Pursuing a Life Less Cluttered, will take place on Saturday, April 14th from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm at the Hingham Senior Center, 210 Central Street, Hingham, MA. Lee Shuer and Bec Belofsky Shuer are clutter experts with lived experience who travel the U.S. and abroad to speak about the highly stigmatized issue of hoarding—a problem that affects an estimated 2-6% of the population. They will be joined by Suzanne Otte, MSW, LCSW, a South Shore Clinician whose experience includes leading support and treatment groups for hoarding.
