[ARCHIVED] Level II Mandatory Total Water Ban Effective Immediately

Effective Immediately, August 9, 2020, the Weir River Water System will be instituting a Level II Mandatory Total Water Ban. These restrictions are based on an evaluation of current drought conditions and a need to conserve and maintain water supply and service throughout Hingham, Hull, and North Cohasset. The levels of our available water supplies have reached a critical state.

LEVEL II: Mandatory Total Ban – All non-essential outdoor usage is prohibited (irrigation using automatic sprinklers or soaker hoses; the washing of vehicles, exterior building surfaces, parking lots, driveways, and sidewalks; and, filling swimming pools).

We will be monitoring the situation on a daily basis to ensure compliance and provide updates on ban as soon as they are available.
