Complete our Online Trench Permit 

TRENCH PERMIT INSTRUCTIONS:

• Application must be filled out completely before submitting
• Upload your Insurance Certificate (with general liability coverage of $100,000 per person and $300,000 per claim)
• Upload photo identification of the permit holder and/or of the person performing the excavation
• Include the Dig Safe Number
• Include the after hours emergency telephone number
• Permitting Fee of $50.00 (cash or check made out to the Town of Hingham)
• Property Owner and Excavators signature required
• Trench Permit may be completed online, dropped off in the mailbox at the DPW office, or Emailed 
• Allow 2 business days for processing once everything is received.
